What is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is a complex of the tripeptide glycine-histidine-lysine (GHK) and a copper(II) ion. GHK occurs naturally in human blood plasma and was described by Loren Pickart in 1973.
The tripeptide has a high affinity for copper. As a blue, lyophilised powder, GHK-Cu is used both in basic research and – under the INCI name Copper Tripeptide-1 – in cosmetics.
GHK-Cu in research
In cell cultures, particularly with fibroblasts, GHK-Cu has been studied in connection with the synthesis of collagen and other components of the extracellular matrix.
Gene expression analyses show that GHK can influence the activity of numerous genes. Further preclinical studies deal with wound healing models and copper metabolism.

What you receive
You receive a sealed glass vial containing 50 mg GHK-Cu as a lyophilised powder. The label states the product name, content and batch number, so every vial can be matched clearly to the corresponding test report.
Orders are shipped in neutral, padded packaging. No instructions for human use are included, because the product is intended exclusively for laboratory research.
Quality: what matters when you buy GHK-Cu

If you want to buy GHK-Cu, look above all for traceable batch documentation. We publish available third-party test reports in our certificate of analysis library. There you can see which tests – such as HPLC for purity or mass spectrometry for identity – exist for the specific batch.
General substance data on GHK-Cu is also available in the free PubChem database of the US National Center for Biotechnology Information.
Laboratory storage
Lyophilised peptides are considerably more stable in dry form than in solution. For laboratory storage, −20 °C, dry and protected from light, is recommended. Room temperature for short periods, for example during shipping, is not critical.
Repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. Further handling follows your laboratory's requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
